How to Enable Screen Mirroring on Your Laptop
Open Settings on Your Laptop
- Go to the Start Menu
- Click Settings
- Navigate to System > Projecting to this PC
Enable the Wireless Display Feature
- Click Optional Features
- Look for Wireless Display in the list
- If not installed:
- Click Add an optional feature
- Scroll down and select Wireless Display
- Click Install and wait for it to finish
- Return to the Projecting to this PC settings
Configure Projection Settings
📌 Recommended:
- Ask to project to this PC: Every time a connection is requested
- Require PIN for pairing: Off
- This PC can be discovered when plugged in: Always Off
How to Start the Screen Mirroring Connection
On Your Laptop
- Open the Connect app (search for “Connect” in the Start Menu)
On Your Android Phone
- Swipe down to open Quick Settings
- Tap Smart View, Cast, or Screen Mirroring
- Name may vary by brand
- Wait for your laptop’s name to appear
- Tap your laptop’s name
- Tap Start Now when prompted
✅ Your phone screen will now appear on your laptop!
How to Stop Screen Mirroring
- Swipe down again to open Quick Settings
- Tap Smart View / Cast
- Tap Disconnect or turn it off

How to Enable the Assistant Menu
- Open the Settings app
- Tap the Search bar and type: Accessibility
- Navigate to:
Accessibility > Interaction and Dexterity - Toggle ON the Assistant Menu
✅ A floating on-screen menu will appear
How to Enable the On-Screen Cursor
- In the Assistant Menu, tap the 4-square grid icon
- ⚙️ This icon is near “Touch and Hold Delay”
- Tap the Next arrow until you see Cursor
- Tap Cursor
✅ A large, easy-to-see on-screen cursor will now appear!
