How to Enable Screen Mirroring on Your Laptop

Open Settings on Your Laptop

  1. Go to the Start Menu
  2. Click Settings
  3. Navigate to System > Projecting to this PC

Enable the Wireless Display Feature

  1. Click Optional Features
  2. Look for Wireless Display in the list
  3. If not installed:
    • Click Add an optional feature
    • Scroll down and select Wireless Display
    • Click Install and wait for it to finish
  4. Return to the Projecting to this PC settings

Configure Projection Settings

📌 Recommended:

  • Ask to project to this PC: Every time a connection is requested
  • Require PIN for pairing: Off
  • This PC can be discovered when plugged in: Always Off

How to Start the Screen Mirroring Connection

On Your Laptop

  1. Open the Connect app (search for “Connect” in the Start Menu)

On Your Android Phone

  1. Swipe down to open Quick Settings
  2. Tap Smart View, Cast, or Screen Mirroring
    • Name may vary by brand
  3. Wait for your laptop’s name to appear
  4. Tap your laptop’s name
  5. Tap Start Now when prompted

✅ Your phone screen will now appear on your laptop!

How to Stop Screen Mirroring

  1. Swipe down again to open Quick Settings
  2. Tap Smart View / Cast
  3. Tap Disconnect or turn it off

How to Enable the Assistant Menu

  1. Open the Settings app
  2. Tap the Search bar and type: Accessibility
  3. Navigate to:
    Accessibility > Interaction and Dexterity
  4. Toggle ON the Assistant Menu
    ✅ A floating on-screen menu will appear

How to Enable the On-Screen Cursor

  1. In the Assistant Menu, tap the 4-square grid icon
    • ⚙️ This icon is near “Touch and Hold Delay”
  2. Tap the Next arrow until you see Cursor
  3. Tap Cursor
